Puppies leave from Indianapolis International Airport. We use Delta airlines.
While flying, puppies are in a climate controlled cargo area where temperatures are maintained at 45-65 degrees farenheit. They travel only in Airline- Approved pet carriers.
Each SpotLight Poodle puppy that flies to his/her new home will travel with their own blanket that will have the familiar scent of littermates and I also include an indestructable chew toy like a Nylabone. All puppies travel with food and water, absorbent bedding and a health certificate from my veterinarian. Please be aware that some weather restrictions may apply when shipping live animals. Every effort will be made to see that your puppy has a safe, comfortable journey; this may require some flexiblity in schedules in order to arrange the shortest travel time possible for the puppy.
Placement fees and shipping charges must be paid in full before puppy leaves our home.
Normal Shipping fee is $300 this includes the following:
Flight cost $265.00
Veterinary health exam $10
Health certificate (required for flight) $10
Travel crate which is yours to keep. $15
Over the years, I have been on both the shipping and receiving end of traveling puppies.
Most puppies are very resilient, and do quite well with the experience.
Shipping can be stressful for very young puppies. At Spotlight's discretion, we may delay shipping of any puppy younger than 10 weeks, if it is felt to be in the best interest of the puppy.
Please be prepared to provide TLC for your new arrival after a long flight. It is best to schedule puppy's arrival around a time when you can be home to help your new puppy with transitioning to a new environment.
