How the Waiting List works:
If you believe a Spotlight Poodle puppy is right for your family but we have no Available Puppies at this time, you may want to join our Waiting List. My puppies are often reserved before they are 8 weeks old, sometimes spoken for before a breeding or whelping takes place, so if you feel I am the right breeder for your next puppy, joining the list will help ensure you get the puppy of your choice.
Generally speaking, I prefer to accept deposits on puppies at 2 to 3 weeks of age. By this time they are: able to see and hear the world around them, beginning to take their first steps, leaving the "nest" to potty; their individual personalities are emerging and they will have been de-wormed at least once. This timing allows me to make more accurate assessments of the puppies.
As soon as a litter arrives I notify all waiting list members, sending photos and descriptions of puppies. Upon receipt of this notification you will be asked to decide whether you would like to remain on the list for that particular litter and notify me by e-mail. If you are choosing to remain on the list for a particular puppy (for example, a black female ) please indicate your preference in your response to the birth announcement. In the event that more than one person is interested in the same puppy, the first person responding will have first priority at selection. However, due to the variety of Poodle colors and the diverse preferences of the adopters we have not had a problem with this.
If you are certain of your selection and would like to place a deposit on a puppy before the age of 3-4 weeks, this can be handled under a separate agreement. Please contact me to make specific arrangements.
After the puppies reach the age of 2-3 weeks, adoption fees will be set and I will begin accepting deposits. A $200 non-refundable deposit is required at the time of selecting and reserving your puppy and you will be asked to sign a deposit contract that confirms your committment to one of our Poodle puppies. Puppies may not leave my home before 8 weeks of age.
During the puppy selection process, I check my e-mail frequently, and am always available via cell phone to answer questions or help you any way I can. I spend a great deal of time with the puppies and I know each of them individually and will be happy to assist you in choosing the puppy whose personality will be the best match for you, your family and lifestyle.
